The Light Keepers Letter: A Monthly Encouragement Letter for Anyone Beginning Again

Sometimes the only light we have is the one we decide to leave on for each other.

The past couple of years of my life have been filled with more beginning agains than I ever expected. Some days felt hopeful, some felt ridiculous, and some felt downright hard. But in the middle of it all, I kept coming back to something simple—writing.

I wrote everyday and tried to make sense of what exactly it meant to begin again. This lead me to realize, I love giving and receiving letters. Real letters you can hold in your hands. The kind that arrive quietly in the mailbox and sit on the kitchen table for a moment before you open them. The kind that feel like a small porch light left on for you at the end of a long day.

And that’s how the Light Keepers Letter was born.

The Light Keepers Letter is a monthly subscription letter created to offer encouragement through real stories and reflections from my own life. Many of the things I write about come from seasons of beginning again—finding courage, navigating hard moments, rebuilding after loss, and remembering that hope and even a little whimsy still live in the small places of our hearts and the stories we carry.

These letters aren’t mass-produced inspiration. Not even close.

In many ways, these letters are the chapters of the book I was always going to write. Part journal, part devotional, part memoir, part art. Probably the most me I have ever been publicly.

Each letter stands alone as its own chapter, but together they begin to weave a story—one tied together by honesty, vulnerability, faith, humor, and hope.

Every month, subscribers receive a letter tucked inside a beautiful envelope. Inside there will also be a small surprise—something simple and meaningful connected to that month’s letter.

Nothing fancy.Just something thoughtful.

This letter subscription is especially for people walking through seasons of change, grief, growth, or quiet rebuilding. For people who sometimes wonder if anyone else understands what it feels like to start over. Or honestly, even for people who just love receiving a letter in the mailbox again. Because there is something deeply human about holding someones story in your hands.

If you decide to subscribe, think of it as a gentle reminder that the porch light is still on at my home. And you’re always welcome here, and I love you.

Kelly

p.s. The first letter will hit your mailbox in April... it's already written and waiting for you.

The Grief You Carry Might Not Be Yours

Some of what you feel didn’t start with you. I didn’t always understand that. I just knew there were things in my life that felt heavier than they should. Emotions that didn’t quite match the moment.
