Roll On Buddy.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to just… keep going.

This season of life has been a big adjustment for me. My pace is different. My energy is different. My priorities are different. I still have big dreams — probably bigger than ever — but I’m learning that they don’t come with the same freedom I once had. And some of the things I spent my time on the most in the past have to take a back seat for a while.

This season, my goals don’t include traveling to shows or disappearing into weekends of music and community (as much as my heart still wants to). Instead, they look a lot more like very early mornings, focused afternoons, early bedtimes, and choosing long-term growth over short-term fun. It’s not glamorous. Its often times lonely. But it’s real.

I’ve started thinking of this particular season I am in as “roll on” energy. Doing what’s in front of me with the time and capacity I actually have. Thats kinda how I have always lived for sure... but this current life isn't something sustainable in my head and heart.. it's for a season. And the harder I work now...the shorter this season will be.

That’s part of what inspired this little bear- and the other bears you'll find listed in my Etsy Shop-- Porch Light Letters... A small reminder that even when you’re tired, even when things feel shitty, you’re still moving forward. One small roll at a time.

A New Little Chapter

Waaaaaiiittt.. did you miss that? I opened an Etsy shop!! It's a larger platform for my artwork, and a way to slowly build something sustainable around what my whimsical life dictates. Eventually, all of my art will live there too. But you can still shop directly from this site (although I haven't figured out how to get the candles on my wix site.. dangit.) Honestly, I appreciate any support and comments or follows more than you know over on etsy and also here. This whole thing is still growing and still evolving. Learning new skills has been a way of life but this.. this feels different..and I'm inviting you to join the ride.

I’m still on a break from most social media. I might write more about that someday — the reasons, the grief of missing things, the relief of not constantly scrolling. But for now, I’m just popping in when it feels right. It’s been good. It’s been hard. I miss my friends, but have enjoyed the calls and texts from those of you checking in on me (so much more fun too!)

So for now, I’m choosing the quiet work. The unseen progress, the huge curve of learning, and busting ass on making things I LOVE.. and hope you do too!

Roll on, buddy. We’re getting there. I'm rooting for ya and I love you.

The Grief You Carry Might Not Be Yours

Some of what you feel didn’t start with you. I didn’t always understand that. I just knew there were things in my life that felt heavier than they should. Emotions that didn’t quite match the moment.
